The survey portion of the Sport Tourism Index™ will take on average one to two hours to complete the survey. You cannot save your work, so it is ideal that the survey be completed in one sitting. The initial section on facilities will take the longest time to complete.  Once that section is completed, the other three sections will go much faster, so do not be discouraged by how long the facilities section takes to finish. In order to effectively complete the survey, we suggest you compile and prepare as much information possible prior to starting the Sport Tourism Index™.

Question Title

* Organization structure:
Definition of Blended Sports Commission: A sports commission/council/authority that is housed within another entity such as a CVB, chamber, city or county. Blended sports commissions may or may not have a separate non-profit status, board, and/or advisory board. The litmus test for this is if the hosting entity for the sports commission (such as a CVB or chamber) is technically the decision driver for the sports commission’s activities, the sports commission would be considered “blended”.
Examples: Denver, Eugene, Kissimmee, Lansing.

Definition of Stand-alone Sports Commission: A sports commission/council/authority that stands on its own and is separate from any other entity such as a CVB, chamber, city or county. Stand-alone sports commissions are most often a 501(c)3 non-profit with its own board of directors and they fundraise to support their own budget each year.
Examples: St. Louis Sports Commission, San Antonio Sports Foundation, Treasure Coast (FL) Sports Commission, Richmond Sports Backers.
