Sharing your thoughts on the Future of Science on South Georgia

Whether you are curious to see how you might be able to conduct your research on South Georgia or have an extensive track record of working on or around South Georgia, your thoughts and experiences about how this region could be made more accessible to scientists will provide valuable information to the South Georgia Future Science project. We are interested in hearing experiences or perceptions you have of South Georgia, both positive and negative, to help us understand the attraction of South Georgia within your specific discipline and the current strengths and limitations of implementing research in the region. As well as better understanding the demand for different disciplines to work on and around South Georgia we aim to use your feedback to make recommendations for the future development of science logistics and facilities.

We anticipate that it will take you about 10 minutes to complete the survey and welcome you to add as much additional information, thoughts or ideas as you feel may be relevant at the end of the survey.

The information that you provide in this survey will be used exclusively by the South Georgia Future Science project to meet the objectives detailed above. Analysis of the data collated within the survey will be summarised in the form of a report, but individual comments will remain anonymous. Any research ideas that are divulged in this survey will remain confidential.

To qualify for entry into the prize draw to win an iPad mini (16 GB), all questions requiring an answer must be completed and submitted by no later than 23:59 GMT on July 12th 2015.The draw will take place on July 14th 2015. The winner will be informed using the email address entered in the questionnaire and will be announced on the South Georgia Future Science webpage as soon as they have been successfully contacted. Should we not receive a response from the winner's emails within 7 days we will repeat the draw.
