Dear Respondent

Thank you for your interest in participating in the stakeholder consultations that will inform the development of a first version of a South African Green Finance Taxonomy. We welcome your input.

What is the purpose of this survey?

The objective of the survey is to collect your viewpoints and preferences as representatives of your respective organisations, networks, and communities of practice. The responses will help us to identify priorities and subsequent development steps in the design of a first version of a green finance taxonomy for South Africa.

About the Taxonomy project

The development of a national Green Finance Taxonomy was one of the key recommendations of the recently published National Treasury Technical Paper on Financing a Sustainable Economy. The process is being led by National Treasury and a working group of regulator and industry experts.

Funding and support are provided by IFC (part of the World Bank Group) through the Green Bond Market Development Programme in partnership with SECO (Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs) and Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency). Global knowledge support is provided by the IFC-facilitated Sustainable Banking Network (SBN).

The National Business Initiative (NBI) and Carbon Trust have been appointed to coordinate the taxonomy process.

Thank you for completing the survey below. We appreciate your consideration and valuable inputs.

The survey should take roughly 20 minutes to complete.
