The Sonoma County Waste Management Agency is seeking feedback from residents and businesses on the community’s interest to ban polystyrene foam products at food establishments (restaurants, drive-thrus, and food trucks) and retail stores (grocery stores, wholesale stores, sporting goods stores, and shipping/postal stores). Polystyrene foam, aka Styrofoam™, food containers such as plates, bowls, cups, and clamshells as well as foam coolers and packing peanuts are being considered under the ban. The results of the survey will be shared with each City and the County, however your personal information will remain anonymous.

If you’d like to provide additional feedback, or have questions, please contact the Sonoma County Waste Management Agency directly at recycling@sonoma-county.org or 707-565-2413.
