NREL, the Solar Energy Industries Association and the rest of the SolarAPP team are developing the Solar Automated Permit Processing (SolarAPP) Platform to provide Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) a no-cost, online, and instant permitting tool for residential rooftop solar projects. The tool conducts automated plan review for qualifying systems, integrates with existing AHJ software, and delivers an inspection checklist to guide inspectors.

We are actively testing and piloting the SolarAPP with AHJs. Please complete this questionnaire to help NREL and the SolarAPP Team understand your AHJ and your potential interest in using the SolarAPP to reduce time and resource burdens on permitting personnel.
