The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the African Union Commission will launch a new report on "The State of Social Assistance in Africa" on the margins of the 74th UN General Assembly
The publication is a product of a partnership between UNDP and the African Union, in collaboration with ILO, UNECA and UNICEF. The report maps and analyzes the trends in social assistance growth as a tool to address poverty and vulnerability in Africa across its three foundational dimensions – legal frameworks, financing and institutions.
