2026 Senior Waratah Representative HEAD Coach Information and EOI

Welcome to the 2026 Senior Waratah representative season.

Whether you have previously coached in our program before or joining us for the first time, coaches play a pivotal role in the success of the representative program at Sutherland Basketball and we thank you for showing interest in coaching with us in 2026.

Our Program Objectives:
· Provide a quality Representative program and experience to improve the skills and knowledge of our players and coaches.
· Consistently implement the Sharks style of play.
· Provide pathways & opportunities for our coaches to advance their skills and knowledge in the coaching arena.

The Approval Process:
· All Senior Waratah Representative Coaches will be selected by an appointed Panel, and forwarded to the SDBA Board for ratification.
· Applicants may be required to attend an interview to support their application. If an interview is required it will be conducted by an appointed Panel at a time suitable to all parties.

Coaching Requirements:
· Head and Assistant coaches must hold a minimum of an NCAS club coach accreditation.
· All Coaches must have a valid SDBA/BNSW registration.
· All Coaches must hold a valid NSW WWC or have the ability to obtain a WWC prior to the commencement of their coaching role with SDBA.
· Coaches must complete a safe coaching module through “play by the rules”.
· All coaches must abide by all policies and procedures set down by the Board of SDBA.
· All coaches must have the ability to attend scheduled coaches meetings and/or educational workshops where directed.
