1. Introduction

What is the purpose of this survey?
The Cities Division of the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Cities and Regional Development (the department) wants stakeholder feedback on the challenges and opportunities to support smart cities, regions and towns across Australia.

The survey seeks feedback from all stakeholders with an interest in smart technology and cities. Survey respondents are not required to have received funding from the Australian Government to participate in this survey.

Who is this survey for?
All individuals within your organisation with experience of its 'smart cities' journey, e.g. for a council: elected officials, project officers, CEO, CIO etc.

Organisations of interest include all levels of government, universities, industry, private sector, not-for-profit organisations, research organisations and other stakeholders involved, or with an interest in, the adoption of 'smart city' technology in Australia.
 
Please forward this survey to your relevant colleagues and networks. The more stakeholders that complete the survey will add to the richness and value of the results.

How long will it take?
This survey will take about 25 minutes to complete. The number of questions you answer depends on the type of your organisation.

Results and Contact

Privacy and Confidentiality
The department is collecting your personal information for the purposes of assessment and analysis of the program in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988. The department will use this information to guide future activities of the Cities Division including sharing contact details to potentially create connections and interest groups. The information you provide is collected by Survey Monkey and may be accessed in the United States, Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands. Some aggregated summary data will be publicly shared and some data may be shared with Austrade, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and maybe some other Australian Government Departments.
