The Village of Shell Lake is preparing a new Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw for their community. An Official Community Plan (OCP) is a comprehensive Plan that sets the long-term vision for the community, while the Zoning Bylaw implements the OCP. These are important Plans that will help guide the growth and development of your community into the future.
We need your help!

Residents and business owners are the experts of their community. We need to learn what is important to you and to understand how you want your community to grow. We would like to know what is working, what could use some attention, and what are the key issues in your community. Your input will inform key policy directions for your community which are intended to address the concerns raised and the opportunities presented.

We have developed this questionnaire so you can contribute towards the future of your community. The questionnaire asks several questions about the challenges and opportunities in your community and will take about 15 minutes to complete. The questionnaire does not ask for any personal information, and all responses will be anonymous. There are some questions specific to the business community to help understand the business climate and learn what is needed for businesses to succeed going forward. We encourage business owners to complete the entire questionnaire.

Paper copies of this questionnaire are available at the Village Office: 210 Main Street, Shell Lake, SK.

We ask you to please complete this survey February 28, 2026.
