YOU have a powerful story to share. Give hope and inspire others. Your story can help other women and their family and caregivers across Canada to know they are not alone.

Helpful tips on telling your story:
(Adapted From J. Capecci and T. Cage, 2015, Living Proof, Minneapolis, MN: Granville Circle Press)

1. Introduce Yourself. Share your full name, city or town. This helps your audience connect with you.
2. What Happened? What happened before you received the help you needed?
3. What Helped? Describe what helped in your recovery, especially if culturally relevant. Include your diagnosis (if applicable).
4. How are you Different Today? Share what is going right in your life or how you are experiencing recovery.
5. State your "Ask." Let your audience know how they can help.
