Course Content
This course prepares you to work in the Film and TV Costume department.

Delivered by Dena Thanopoulos, a Costume Supervisor with 20 years’ experience in the costume department, including work on The Sopranos, Outlander, Shetland, River City and T2 Trainspotting, this course gives you insights into the roles, practices and principles of this dynamic and creative department.

The course takes any existing costume knowledge and experience you have and gives you what you need to be ‘Set Ready’ for work specifically in film and TV.

Please note that this is a class-room based course and not a practical Costume Design course.  There is not any designing or making element to the course. It covers script breakdown, the work involved in pre-production and preparing to shoot, how the costume department operates on set, how to enter the costume department and the materials and skills you need in the various roles.
