How does your municipality plan to respond to Senate Bill 24-174 (SB24-174), known as the Sustainable Affordable Housing Assistance Act? Our local government's governing body will review the Regional Housing Needs Assessment at a public meeting and submit comments to DRCOG during the 60-day review period (July 14-September 12, 2025). We plan to conduct and publish our own DOLA-compliant local housing needs assessment and submit it to Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) by December 31, 2026 We plan to review the Regional Housing Needs Assessment during the 60-day review period to keep our options open but are also considering conducting and publishing our own DOLA-compliant local housing needs assessment by December 31, 2026. We submitted our pre-existing local housing needs assessment to DOLA by December 31, 2024 and received notification from DOLA that it complies, and no further amendments are necessary. We submitted our pre-existing local housing needs assessment to DOLA by December 31, 2024 and received notification from DOLA that changes are needed, and we plan to complete the changes.
