Town of Sellersburg: Unified Development Code Public Survey

What this survey is about. Sellersburg is updating its Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) for the Town Center (TC), Downtown (DT), Downtown Neighborhood (DTN), and Gateway Overlay (GO) districts. THE UDO is the Town’s rulebook for how land can be used and how new buildings and improvements are designed.

This survey focuses on four areas: the Town Center (TC), Downtown (DT), Downtown Neighborhood (DTN), and Gateway Overlay (GO) districts, shown on the map below. Your answers will shape the recommendations presented to the Plan Commission and Town Council.

Understanding what the Town controls and what it does not: The Town’s job is to set fair, clear standards for development in its community. The rules for what can be built and how it should look and function. By law, those standards must apply equally to everyone; When this survey asks what you would like to “see more of,” it is asking which uses the rules should allow and encourage not which specific businesses the Town will build.
