Seeking Success Leadership Series

Overview:
Open to all Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, & Transfers interested in honing their leadership, professionalism, branding/networking, and peer mentorship skills. The Seeking Success Leadership Series helps participants:
- develop and articulate transferable skills needed for future careers,
- realize their purpose and vision for the future,
- polish their professional branding, public speaking, and online presence,
- facilitate difficult conversations and risk-taking through the scope of peer mentorship.

The Seeking Success Leadership Series is worth 1.5 credits through the Graduate School of Education for participants who are able to add it to their schedules. Please note - if you cannot add it to your schedule, you CAN continue with the program. The credit is not mandatory.

Seeking Success is the second tier of the Lead Up Academy, a progressive tiered curriculum designed to enhance students' leadership skills. The first tier of the academy is not a prerequisite for Seeking Success. This program doubles as an emerging leadership program and a training platform for our Peer Leadership Mentors (PLMs). Once trained through Seeking Success in the fall semester, those selected to be our PLMs will peer mentor first-years in our Fellowship, facilitate events, and conduct an experiential service learning project. Participation as a PLM in the spring is not mandatory.

The workshops for Seeking Success are offered bi-weekly throughout the fall semester, and those selected to serve as PLMs will work with the Leadership Department throughout the spring semester.
