Emily Boynton and Molly Miles from UMRC’s Department of Public Relations and Communications will discuss how the Medical Center and other academic institutions are sharing science in the social world we live in. This will take place in
the January 14 from noon - 1 pm. Healthy Trash Plates (from https://www.ehmeals.com) will be provided!
Emily and Molly will provide examples of different types of visuals and videos that get great engagement on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. URBEST and the PR team will accept original visuals and videos from students and trainees that highlight UR innovation, research and career development until February 14. Three prizes will be awarded February 28 for best science storytelling, and the winning pieces will be featured on the UR Medicine Facebook page (URMC’s flagship social media page) and URBEST blog.

1st prize: Featured on UR Medicine Facebook page (URMC’s flagship social media page), $750, and “video pack”

2nd prize: Featured on UR Medicine Facebook page (URMC’s flagship social media page), $500, and “video pack”

3rd prize: Featured on UR Medicine Facebook page (URMC’s flagship social media page), $250, and “video pack”
