Emily Boynton and Molly Miles from UMRC’s Department of Public Relations and Communications will discuss how the Medical Center and other academic institutions are sharing science in the social world we live in. This will take place in
the Louise Slaughter Conference Room (1-9555) April 27 at 4-5 pm.They will provide examples of different types of visuals and videos that get great engagement on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. URBEST and The Public Relations and Communications team will accept original visuals and videos from students and trainees that highlight UR innovation and research until May 18. Three prizes will be awarded May 31 for best science storytelling, and the winning pieces will be featured on the UR Medicine Facebook page (URMC’s flagship social media page) and URBEST blog.


1st prize: Featured on UR Medicine Facebook page (URMC’s flagship social media page), $750, and “video pack”

2nd prize: Featured on UR Medicine Facebook page (URMC’s flagship social media page), $500, and “video pack”

3rd prize: Featured on UR Medicine Facebook page (URMC’s flagship social media page), $250, and “video pack”
