State Science Assessment - Achievement Level Descriptors

Application for ALD work

The Science Achievement Level Descriptors (ALDs) workgroup will develop achievement level descriptors that provide grade and grade-span descriptions of student knowledge, skills and abilities for the science standards. The ALDs will provide the details needed to set cut scores when the new science assessments are implemented in 2017-18. There will be four groups of teachers working in grade-span groups; K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12 with four to five participants in each grop. The workgroup will meet in Pierre August 2 – 3, 2016 with an additional work session to be determined in September or early October. Participants will receive a stipend and all travel expenses for the meetings.
