NIH SciEd 2021 Breakout Session Proposal Form

INFORMATION FOR BREAKOUT SESSION PROPOSERS

The NIH SciEd 2020 Conference will be held May 24 - May 27 online. DEADLINE for proposal submission is SUNDAY, APRIL 18.

Breakout sessions will be 1 hour in length. They will take place on each day of the conference.

The most effective sessions usually involve more than one project. Sessions should be interactive, providing ample opportunities for conference attendees to share and contribute. You will be able to have breakout groups within your session, conduct polls, have a whiteboard, use the chat, etc. Rather than thinking of this as a traditional conference talk in which you present your research or project, consider the types of sessions you would plan for students, teachers and/or families – engaging and interactive.

In this online proposal form, you will be asked to provide a 50-150 word abstract. In addition to typical proposal questions, such as session title, presenter contact information, you will be asked to enter the following written descriptions:
· Intended outcomes
· Session outline
· List of discussion questions
