7.Writing Sample / Essay Requirement: On a separate sheet of paper, submit a typed original essay of no more than 500 words addressing the following topic: “What it means to me to have my parent or guardian involved in contributing to the safety, security, and peace of mind of the community in today’s society.” The essay must be the applicant’s original work, and any sources used must be properly cited in a Works Cited section at the end. Once submitted, the essay becomes the property of SCESTA and may be published in industry publications with credit given to the author. Essays will be evaluated based on relevance to the topic, factual accuracy, creativity, interest, completeness of thought, and overall quality of writing.(Required.)
