Save the A46 Bypass Upgrade |
On the 30th June, Labour announced they have ended the building contract for the A46 bypass upgrade and are likely to cancel the whole project.
The new A46 bypass would have cut the awful Newark traffic and created well-paid jobs for local people.
It is shameful that the Government decided to throw such a crucial project into disarray without speaking to local people and businesses.
I have repeatedly raised this decision in Parliament and demanded answers - none of which have been forthcoming.
It is not acceptable that my constituents have been ignored and their interests brushed aside.

I will be doing everything I can to stop this road project from being cancelled. We can’t afford to lose more time.

But if Labour continue to fail, I can confirm that a Reform UK government will get this project built.
