Thanks for volunteering for this year's Santa's Workshop!
We could not put on this series of special events without the help of our volunteers. We appreciate you and your ability to spread holiday cheer within the community.
Here's what you could be doing:
- Managing a kid's craft table. The children will be provided with shopping bags that they can decorate for free while they visit with Santa. They will also have the opportunity to write a letter to Santa and stick it in the mailbox. Your job will be to keep the table neat and clean, and make sure no children are coloring on the walls.
- Saturdays in December, there will be a variety of different events including pets with Santa, ugly sweater day and Holiday cards and wrapping paper. The same goes for this craft, you will need to manage it and keep things neat.
- Putting out/taking down decorations and signage at the beginning/end of each shift. This won't be anything more than 20 pounds. We will provide you with a detailed list of duties so you know what to expect.
- Supervising the line to visit Santa. This could involve you talking with parents and possibly taking photos for groups who would like a photo with Santa.
Santa's Workshop is located in the City Centre (125 S. Kalamazoo Mall on the second floor) right by the City Centre Deli. The entrance is also available through Farmer's Alley. You will park in the Kalamazoo Mall Parking Structure, or the Epic Parking Structure and can access the entrance through Farmers Alley. Parking validation will be at the Workshop to pay for your parking when you leave the parking ramp.
Below, please check what shifts you are available to volunteer for. Please be aware that you are responsible for working the shift you select, and we will be counting on you to be present.
