Safety Survey - Public |
The purpose of this survey is to gain insight into the thoughts, beliefs and experiences of NCCC patrons regarding campus security. We would like the input of every patron as we will be compiling the results for discussion within the college.
Background: NCCC currently restricts weapons from all college buildings. The Kansas Legislature passed and Governor Brownback has authorized the carrying of concealed handguns in state and municipal buildings, effective July 1, 2013. NCCC received a 4-year exemption which prohibits anyone from carrying concealed handguns within our buildings, under the condition that we will establish a security plan and adopt a resolution to exempt such buildings from the requirements of the act. If NCCC ultimately decides to not implement a security plan, then carrying concealed handguns would be allowed in NCCC college campus buildings.
The college is considering a number of options and the Executive Committee would like your input in the process. Based upon your perceptions of safety, please take a few moments to answer the following questions.
