Our spring concerts present the varied faces and sources of joy, hope, and enthusiasm for life as presented by some of our favorite British and American composers.

The program opens with sacred presentations of life and the ways we experience it. Benjamin Britten's powerful Rejoice in the Lamb, William Byrd's Sing Joyfully, and Thomas Tallis's If Ye Love Me are joined by the lush harmonies of Phillip Stopford's deeply reassuring Do Not Be Afraid.

The beloved Shaker hymn The Gift to be Simple, arranged by England's Bob Chilcott, serves as a counterpoint to Frank Ticheli's There Will Be Rest, which offers a response to great loss. American folksongs include arrangements by Dan Forrest and selections from Aaron Copland's Old American Songs. The Promise of Living, which concludes the concert, encapsulates the positivism that is at the heart of the program.

Join us, as we celebrate life, song, and our 35th anniversary!
