It is hard to always know what your next step should be. We are here to help you in that process with exciting opportunities this summer.

Career Exploration Summer Academy: Investigate exciting potential careers in a 6-week, hands-on program on a college campus at Nunez or Northshore Technical Community College! Earned incentives and bonuses. Network with employers, professors, and like-minded peers. (St. Tammany & St. Bernard parishes)

Youth Forward Summer Program: This is a 6-week paid summer work experience program with weekly lunch-n-learn workshops, additional earned incentives, and bonuses. Learn from employers about what determines success. Network with local employers while getting paid; various positions available. (Plaquemines parish)

Join us starting June 6th through July 22nd.

If you are 17-21 years old, out of high school after May 2021, determined and serious about making a positive change in your life, then this is an incredible opportunity to help make it happen. If you are willing to give it your best, we will be your partner in achieving success.

You MUST be COMPLETELY DRUG-FREE for at least 30 days to participate in PAID WORK EXPERIENCE. Please read and type YES next to each statement

If you don't know if you can pass a drug test right now, you should try again in 30 days. We will be more than happy to work with you.

You understand you may be asked to take your test at a monitored Drug Court, Sheriffs office, or a medical facility.

You understand if you fail the drug test, you will need to wait six (6) months before you can apply again.

You understand that any illegal drugs, including marijuana, no matter how small the quantity will ensure you fail the drug test.

Plaquemines - Youth Forward Summer Program - (7 weeks paid work experience. Work assigned roles in the Plaquemines Government Complex, Libraries, Recreation Department, and other locations) $10/hr plus bonuses and incentives.

None of these summer programs will work for me, however, I am interested in regular paid work experience opportunities, training, or career assistance.
