Alderperson Karban put together a presentation showing why a Wheel Tax would benefit the City of Marinette to help with resurfacing of alley ways and road construction. After the Common Council discussed the item there was no action taken on the item. What are your thoughts?
Wheel Tax: A wheel tax is an additonal local vehicle registration fee charged by a city, village, town, or county. It’s collected in addition to the state registration fee and is used to help fund road maintenance, street repairs, and transportation improvements within that community.
