1. Introduction

Renewable Albury Wodonga Energy (RAW Energy) is a group of active citizens working to increase the uptake of renewable energy in Albury Wodonga.

RAW Energy believes that our community can develop renewable energy projects that will reduce reliance on fossil fuels and provide a range of direct economic, social and environmental benefits to our community.

The purpose of this survey is to gather views about the possibility of a community investment in medium to large scale renewable energy projects, and importantly, which kinds of potential flow-on local benefits you the community member finds most important. If there is significant interest, RAW will consider progressing the investment opportunities.

Community developer partnerships of this type are very new to Australia, but community investment of this kind in large scale renewable projects is a very common model in countries throughout Europe and North America.

To have a true account of the community interest we need your help to not only do the survey but also spread the word and pass it on to others.

The survey will remain open until the 31st December 2017.

Thank you so much for your time and interest.
The information and details you provide will only be used for the purpose of establishing the level of community interest in investment in medium to large scale projects. No private details will be used in any published information such as the survey findings. Your contact details will not be given to any third party, however if an investment opportunity does arise we will get in touch with you to make you aware of the opportunity.

This survey was originally developed by Taryn Lane to gauge local investment interest in the Sapphire Wind Farm in NSW and has been adapted by Moreland Energy Foundation and project partners to test local investment interest in medium and large solar farms in the Wodonga region.
