Woodside Elementary School District will offer options of either in-person/on-campus learning or full virtual learning (Woodside Virtual Academy/county distance learning program) beginning December 7th for 4th and 5th grade students.

Parents/Guardians must select the learning model for their child no later than October 12 at 5:00pm. Please complete one form for each child. Note that each family is expected to reply and non-responses will be assigned to the in-person/on-campus model.

Woodside School Virtual Academy: Full distance learning model that allows students at home to participate in online classes. Teachers will provide daily synchronous instruction and will facilitate asynchronous assignments. Attendance will be taken. TK-5 students may possibly be grade-banded, and will work with a District employee. 

In-Person/On-Campus Learning: On-campus learning model with District teacher and assigned cohort, adhering to strict safety protocols outlined in the District's School Reopening plan. By opting in to our District program, you are agreeing to participate in the learning day in its entirety, according to the schedule that has been designed. 

The survey choice is binding through the end of the first semester (Jan 22). There will be another opportunity to opt-in and opt-out of a learning model at that time. 

Regardless of the model chosen, teacher/class assignments may need to be adjusted based on enrollment, staffing, and the choices made by each family in this learning model form.

Please carefully review the "4th/5th Grade Return to School & Virtual Academy Program Description" which includes important information about the curriculum, schedule, safety protocols, and timeline and the "School Reopening Health and Safety Overview for Parents", which outlines our safety protocols for on-campus learning.
