Replacement of Outdoor Exercise Equipment in Mill Marsh Park

We’d really like to hear your views. Please complete and submit this short survey. Thank you.

Bovey Tracey Town Council is planning to completely replace the existing outdoor exercise area in Mill Marsh Park. This project will be part-funded by a grant from the National Lottery.

We will be asking a range of suppliers to provide ideas and designs for this, and we would like to ensure their proposals are in line with what local people want.

Please give us your views and experiences by answering the following questions.

Thank you for your help.

1.Are you familiar with the existing outdoor exercise equipment?(Required.)
2.What kind of equipment would you like to see in a new outdoor exercise area? (e.g. pull-up bars, dip bars, monkey bars, balance beams, benches, leg or chest press machines, elliptical trainer etc.)
3.Would you prefer calisthenics-style equipment (to enhance body-weight exercises), cardio-focused areas, or a mix of both?(Required.)
4.What safety features are most important to you? (e.g. non-slip surfaces, clear instructions, fall protection etc.)
5.Should the area include instructions or QR codes for guided exercises?
6.Are there any accessibility concerns that you think we should address? (e.g. pathways, signage, inclusive design etc.)
7.Would you prefer the equipment to have a more natural design, or a modern, structured appearance?
8.How important is it to you that the equipment is eco-friendly or made from sustainable materials?
9.Would you be interested in community fitness events or group workouts organised in this space?
10.Do you have any other suggestions or ideas you would like to share about the redevelopment of the outdoor fitness equipment?
11.Do you use Mill Marsh Park for activities other than the existing exercise equipment?
