Health for Everyone: Inclusivity in Schools

Thank you for your interest in the Health for Everyone: Inclusivity in Schools study! Through this study we hope to learn how practices to support students with LGBTQ+ identities improve school-wide health and well-being and about how we can promote healthy behaviors for all students in schools. The purpose of this nomination form is for us to learn about your district’s current and planned LGBTQ+ inclusivity practices and policies, and to identify relevant district and school personnel who we can connect with to learn about implementation of these practices and policies in your high schools. We also hope to learn how our team can support and supplement your district’s current efforts, with the goal of developing a partnership to better understand how we can promote healthy behaviors for all students!

If your district is selected to participate in the study, we will provide financial and administrative support for study activities. Your district will receive information about the school climate in your high schools, including LGBTQ+ inclusivity, and how these school-level factors relate to student health. The information from this study and follow-up technical assistance can help your district to offer LGBTQ+ inclusivity practices that are most likely to benefit all students. Your knowledge and perspective of your school community will help us better understand the factors within the school climate that promote healthy behaviors.
