Informed Consent 

You are invited to be a participant in a research study conducted by Joshua Thompson and Daniel Crozier at The University of Rio Grande & Rio Grande Community College. You will be among many participant adults 18 or older responding to this study. We ask that you read this form and contact us with any questions you may have before agreeing to be in the study. This purpose of this study is to find out does personality predict grade point average. You will be asked to respond to questions about your personality and your present grade academic performance.

Your responses will be anonymous and there will not be any way for us to link your identity to any response that you give. Your names (or any other identifying information) will never be associated with your responses. To help protect your responses, your responses will be kept in a secure, password protected file. Your responses will not be linked to you through your participation via Psychological Research on the Net. At the end of this form, you will be given the chance to give your consent to participate or to opt out of participation.
No record will be kept of your response to this consent form, as your response indicates that you have consented to participate. Individual responses will be discarded upon completion of the project.

Your participation is completely voluntary, and your decision to participate or not will not affect any current or future relationship with The University of Rio Grande & Rio Grande Community College. If you decide to participate, you have the right to withdraw from the study at any time without penalty. You have the right to skip any question that you do not feel comfortable answering and still remain in the study. Your participation will take 30 to 40 minutes.
Furthermore, you may also get some insight into yourself and psychology as a result of this study. You will not be directly compensated or paid for your participation in this study.

We anticipate no more than minimal risk to harm to you in this study. Specifically, it is possible that some questions may arouse unpleasant feelings. We do not expect such feelings to be long lasting or substantial. In fact, it is unlikely that anyone participating in this study at any time if you feel uncomfortable by closing web browser.
