Our Technical Divisions are crucial pillars within SWANA, driving innovation, collaboration, and advancement in various aspects of waste and resource management. The Vice Director is a leadership position that holds meaningful impact. The Vice Director of each Technical Division is elected by the members every two years. Once elected, they continue in subsequent leadership positions as a beacon of expertise for six years:
- July 2026 – June 2028 - Vice Director: Beginning with a term as Vice Director, you'll dive into the intricacies of your division, working closely with the Director and fellow members to shape its direction and initiatives.
- July 2028 – June 2030 - Director: Building upon your experience as Vice Director, you'll transition into the role of Director, steering the division’s focus and activities.
- July 2030 – June 2032 - Past Director: After your term as Director draws to a close, you'll continue to lend your wisdom and insight as Past Director, ensuring continuity and providing invaluable support to the incoming leadership.
The Advisory Council Delegate represents the technical division's interest at Advisory Council meetings for a 2 year term.
Technical Division leadership requires membership in the division.
Nominations can be submitted by March 2, 2026.
