The Southwest Seed Partnership (SWSP) is a collaborative effort to increase the availability of ecologically appropriate native seed in New Mexico and Arizona. Since 2015, we have been working with stakeholders to coordinate wild collection of priority species for restoration, and working with seed growers to increase the quantity of those locally-sourced and genetically diverse plant materials.

Goals of Survey:
  • Identify priority areas for Southwest seed users and growers related to seed demand and seed use
  • Inform SWSP objectives for the next five years based on highest needs
  • Improve our understanding of the seed demand and seed market in the Southwest
  • Identify what are the gaps in the seed market and greatest needs – species availability, local source availability, etc.
  • Identify who are the major players in the seed market in the Southwest, both seed users and seed producers
  • Evaluate importance of seed quality (origin, pls, etc) and availability of that information

This survey contains 35 questions and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.
