About You

Are you a casual, auxiliary, temporary or part-time worker (part time = 32.5 hours or less/week)? We want to hear from you!

What is the survey for?

CUPE is concerned about precarious work, but in order to address the problem we need to understand your needs better.  We want to find out the issues you face at work, and in your life as a result of your work. We would like to know your ideas for what you think the local could do better to address your needs and if you have ideas for how the local could encourage all workers to get involved. Once we compile all the information, we can work on some solutions together.

What is ‘Precarious Work’?

Precarious work is characterised by lack of job security, unpredictable schedules, low or inferior levels of pay, reduced worker control over workload, limited or no access to health and welfare benefits. It also frequently involves increased employer pressure for workplace "flexibility" leading to more part-time and/or term work, and less full-time regularised work.

Please fill out this survey by June 15 -  this survey should take you approximately 10-15 minutes to complete, and should be completed during unpaid work or personal time.
