Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI; http://www.informatics.jax.org/) is a free, highly curated resource providing searchable web-based and programmatic access to information about mouse genes, genome features, sequence variation, functional annotations, gene expression data, mutant alleles, phenotypes and human disease models.
This practical workshop is designed to include short introductory sections to MGI features and tools, as well as hands-on, practical experience working through biologically relevant exercises. The focus of this workshop will be on the web interface, no programming knowledge or prior experience is required. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own research-specific questions.
