SW 2016 Special Sessions Form

Special Session Proposal

Important information for Special Session Planners:

The number of Special Sessions is limited so organizers are encouraged to submit their proposals early.

Organizing your Session: You may have up to 10 talks in your Special Session.  Each time slot is 20 minutes in length, including Q&A and transition time.

Speakers at Special Sessions must register for the conference; registration costs will not be covered by the conference nor will presenters have their registration fees waived (even though a speaker has been solicited by a Special Session organizer, they are not considered "invited speakers" for the purposes of the conference).

Special Session Proposals are due June 3, 2016. Acceptance notifications will go out June 17. Once accepted, each individual in the Special Session will be required to submit an abstract for their presentation via the online abstract system. If the Special Session is not accepted, individual speakers are encouraged to submit an individual abstract for general consideration. Special Session organizers will be responsible for informing their speakers of acceptance or rejection.

Note: We understand that the Session Title, Abstract, and Individual Titles are subject to change as the session comes together and as speakers develop their presentations.
