Staveley with Ings Parish Council Questionnaire - A591 & residents safety

Thank you for your interest in this survey.

INTRODUCTION
Staveley with Ings Parish Council is seeking residents’ views and experiences regarding traffic speed, road safety and junction use on the A591, within the parish and outside it, up to Plumgarths Roundabout.
The primary focus of this survey is the A591 as it passes through Ings village.
The Council also wishes to gather evidence regarding safety at the Staveley junctions with its bypass, the further junctions at Plantation Bridge, and also the use of Moor Howe Lane.
The results will be used to inform discussions with Westmorland and Furness District Council, (Highways Department), and other relevant bodies. The Parish Council does not control highway decisions but may use evidence gathered to support formal requests.
All responses are anonymous. Any personal information provided will be used solely for the purposes of this survey and will not be published.

Paper copies can be obtained and dropped off at St Anne's Church Ings or from the Big Onion, Mill Yard Staveley.

The survey should take you about 10 minutes to complete.
Please complete by Monday, 13 April 2026.
