My name is Hunter Guthrie. Like so many of us, my family ingrained Cardinal fandom into my being from conception--and I have been an obsessive reader of Card Chronicle for several years. After graduating from Manual High School in 2015, I committed to Hanover College, a small, liberal arts institution, to play soccer and to further my academic career. In preparation for my Senior Year, I have started to think about how to tackle the largest of my remaining collegiate tasks: my Senior Thesis.

Over the past month or two, I have worked with numerous professors to develop a vision for an exciting Senior Thesis Project. Though it will be a bit of a unique endeavor for an academic thesis, I have received approval from my advisor and from Hanover's History Department to embark upon an oral history project to explore Louisvillians' experiences with the University of Louisville's Men's Basketball Program. This survey will serve as one component of the communal archive I will submit to Hanover College as my Senior Thesis.

For this reason, by submitting this survey and contributing to this project, one agrees to the following conditions:

I, _____________________________ (name of donor), hereby give to Hanover College, in form and content, the following survey response, recorded on ______________(date).  I understand that Hanover College will use my responses for such educational purposes as they see fit and that by this conveyance I relinquish:

·       All legal title and literary property rights which I have or may be deemed to have in said work.
·       All my rights, title, and interest in copyright which I have or may be deemed to have in said work and more particularly the exclusive rights of reproduction, distribution, and preparation of derivative works, public performances, and display.

This gift does not preclude any use that I may wish to make of the information in the responses.

If you would prefer to attempt to coordinate an in-person interview, please send me an email at guthriea19@hanover.edu under the subject line "Oral History Interview".

In any case, read through the entire survey before answering. I have worked extremely diligently to create the entire project, including this survey; please, respect my hard work and contribute accordingly. I am looking for neither brevity nor tomfoolery--so answer seriously and with as much detail as you can. I understand that it is a bit lengthy; as such, do not feel pressure to answer every question. Answer those that speak most to you. In the end, every response will be extremely valuable and much appreciated.
