Purim is a holiday of sweetness and joy, and it is a Jewish tradition to send food baskets (called Shalach Manot) to family and friends. As a fundraiser, our Sisterhood makes Purim Packages consisting of homemade hamantashen, wine, candy, fruit and nuts. In addition, every year our religious school students deliver donated bags to Wesley Enhanced Living Community residents and sing traditional holiday songs, bringing smiles to their faces and joy to their hearts.
Here’s how it works:
Send a bag for $5.00 per name or $150 for the entire congregation (or more than 30 bags). You must let us know that you actually want a bag, even if someone has sent you one. Every family who requests one will receive ONE bag that lists all the people who participated in sending it. This keeps our costs down and makes more money for the synagogue.
SINCE MANY PEOPLE SEND TO THE ENTIRE CONGREGATION, YOU CAN RECEIVE A BAG IF YOU WANT IT, BUT YOU MUST CHECK BELOW AND RETURN THIS FORM. NO ORDER NECESSARY
ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 4
Please pick up your bag between Feb. 28 and Mar. 8 at the synagogue. Purim starts Feb. 28!
Please tally up your total, make you check payable to CBENT Sisterhood and mail to Amy Blake, 22 Stanfield Lane, Broomall, PA. 19008
