The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at SBCTC is glad to support professional development and learning for our SBCTC colleagues. Held this year in Vancouver, Washington with theme “Empowering our Voices; Communicating our Vision”, FSOCC is acknowledging the need for a space of healing and community for BIPOC colleagues and to encourage our Allies to support and advocate for equitable outcomes for their colleagues of color.

The conference is a welcoming, confirming, and collaborative space for everyone in our 34-SBCTC family to heal, elevate, collaborate, and thrive. Centering the BIPOC experience in Higher Education, all are invited into this space to grow together in ways that validate BIPOC experiences as we lean into the historical harm that communities of color are healing from.

Please fill out the form indicating your desire to attend this in-person conference after seeking the necessary approvals from your supervisor. The EDI office will help with the cost of registration, lodging, and travel for those who do not have any departmental funds to attend.

Learn more about the conference and view the schedule, and please block your calendars for attendance from October 25-27, 2023 at the Hilton in Vancouver, Washington.
