Association of University Presses 2019 Residency Application

The Association's Residency Program is administered by the Professional Development Committee. Applications and applicant resumes must be submitted by June 3, 2019. Participants will be selected and notified by the Professional Development Committee by July 16, 2019. Residencies must be a minimum of 2.5 days and go to a maximum of 5 days. All residencies must be completed by December 31, 2019. Expense reimbursement requests and experience reports MUST be submitted to the AUPresses Central Office within four weeks of residency completion.

The Residency is receiving support from Johns Hopkins University Press through 2021 to honor retired press director Kathleen Keane who strongly supported the professional exchange of ideas that this program facilitates.

The Residency Program is open to all qualified employees of AUPresses Regular and Affiliate Member presses. The prerequisites for the program are:

(1) Candidates must be part of the full-time staff of an AUPresses Regular or Affiliate member press.

(2) Candidates must have at least one year of experience at current employer.

(3) Press Directors are not eligible to apply.

It will then be the responsibility of each participant and host press to determine a mutually favorable time for the residency as well as other details of the visit. Residencies must be completed by December 31, 2019.
