Request for Workshop Proposals: Basic Information

FUTURES invites workshop proposals for the STAGES 2023 convening in Washington DC. Submissions on a wide variety of topics relevant to elder abuse are welcome, however proposals should fit within at least one of the three content tracks: 1.) restorative practices and justice OR legal system off-ramps; 2.) economic justice; 3.) community partnerships.
-
Of particular interest are workshops that aim to advance equity, elevate the voices of older survivors, put theory into practice, and build strategic partnerships. We highly encourage proposals from community organizations serving culturally-specific groups.
-
Proposals for sessions should include interactive presentation techniques designed to engage the audience and stimulate discussion. This convening is intended to be a place for dialogue, strategic planning, and practicing new skills. Accepted proposals will not be lecture-based.
