AI Subgroup/Taskforce

AI is a quickly emerging technology with the potential to significantly impact how we teach, learn and work. The Strategic Technology Advisory Committee (STAC) is inviting participation in a standing Artificial Intelligence (AI) Task Force. The purpose of this AI Task Force is to facilitate cross-functional communications across the WACTC Commissions and Councils related to shared resources, opportunities and risks related to the adoption of AI tools in Higher Education.

The initial time commitment for this Task Force will be approximately 2 hours per month in scheduled meetings, and some additional work outside of meetings. This work may include compiling and sharing AI related events/activities across colleges, participating in demonstration projects to test AI capabilities, sharing ideas for efficiencies or innovations, and researching/addressing AI concerns related to ethical use, security, affordability and accessibility.
