Sault Ste. Marie Community Climate Change Adaptation Plan Public Survey

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is developing a Community Climate Change Adaptation Plan (CCCAP) to better understand climate-related risks to the City and identify actionable measures that can be implemented to reduce risks and build climate resilience. Community engagement is a key component of climate adaptation planning, as it can help to identify experienced vulnerabilities, determine the consequences of climate events, and inform adaptation priorities and actions.

1.Where in your community have you seen impacts from weather events? Are there areas or buildings where you have seen impacts?
2.Tell us about the weather events that impacted your community. These could be anything from heavy rains that caused flooding in certain areas, a storm that damaged buildings to a warm winter that affected recreational activities.
3.What actions would help your community adapt to the changing climate? This could include steps your community can take or ideas for actions that would make your community more resilient.
