About FAFSA Nights

A highly educated El Paso workforce is important for the region to remain competitive at both the national and global level. Recognizing that education is the engine for economic-growth, the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce and its partners have engaged in supporting access to college for high school students through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

This free application is a crucial first step in assisting students to obtain the financial assistance needed to help enroll and ultimately graduate from college.  Nationally, over 85 percent of students seeking undergraduate degrees receive some form of financial

Unfortunately, only 58.8% of El Paso high school seniors submitted a complete FAFSA application for Fall 2016.  Logic might tell you that all high school seniors should complete the FAFSA form in hope of gaining some aid toward a post-secondary education.
In El Paso, many students who qualify for financial aid, are left out.

Beginning in October, financial aid professionals from local universities along with many volunteers from private business will be
at every high school campus in El Paso County on specific dates.  The dates for your local high school can be found at the Greater
El Paso Chamber of Commerce website:  elpaso.org/fafsanights.

We need your help!

The Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking volunteers to help with FAFSA Nights during October and November 2017. All volunteers must attend a training session held September 21, 27 or 28th.

Please complete the registration form below to register!

Most importantly, if you have a high school student graduating in the Spring of 2018, completing a FAFSA form should be treated as a critical step toward a college education.  We sincerely hope you will consider volunteering for this important effort and/or bringing your high school seniors to one of the FAFSA Nights events.
