The Cultural Spring is an exciting, ambitious project to get more people in Sunderland and South Tyneside to experience and be inspired by the arts.
Arts Council England is funding the project for three years, but our aim is to leave a lasting legacy of communities with a genuine and abiding interest in the arts.
Cultural Spring is being evaluated. The evaluation is led by Charlotte Bilby (Reader, Northumbria University) who is supported by Dr Toby Lowe (Senior Research Associate, Newcastle University) and Paul Biddle (Research Fellow, Newcastle University).
As part of the evaluation we are administering an online survey to local people to explore their views about and participation in creative activities, and their views of ‘excellence’ in creative activities. The survey also asks for some information about you.
Anonymised findings from the questionnaire will be written up and shared with those managing, delivering and participating in the Cultural Spring Programme and with other organisations in the cultural sector. Findings may also be used in articles submitted for publication in academic journals.
You will not be named or identified in any project outputs.
Any data generated by the survey will be securely managed and disposed of in accordance with Departmental guidelines and procedures. The University will be complying with its duties and obligations under the Data Protection Act.
