PACC Survey on parent carers experience of the EHCP & Transition to Adulthood process in Shropshire
As you will be aware the EHCP process is a new system which has only been in place since September 2014. This new system was introduced as a result of the Children and Families Act which aims to improve outcomes for children and young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), and to ensure that these young people and their families are fully involved in all decision making.
One of the requirements of the Children and Families Act is that organisations which support young people with SEND must work with parent carers and young people to design and improve the range of services offered and how they are delivered. The EHCP is a key process for families of young people with SEND and it is essential that the experience of parent carers and young people who have been through the process is gathered and used to inform further improvements.
We would be grateful if you would share your experiences of the EHCP and transition process by completing the survey below. This survey will stay live until Friday 20th November.
