Expression of Interest - ‘Promoting CHANGE (Community Health And Nutrition, and Government Engagement)’ in food retail in local government settings.
We are seeking sports clubs and facilities to work in partnership across government, non-profit, and academic organisations on a project called ‘Promoting CHANGE (Community Health And Nutrition, and Government Engagement)’ in food retail outlets in local government settings.
Promoting CHANGE includes training and project officer support and assistance to make healthy and profitable changes to food and drinks on offer and promoted in your sports club. Feedback will be sought every 6 months on any changes in healthiness of customer purchases and revenue.
Participation in this project will include the following:
Plan and implement healthy changes to food and drink offered and promoted, with the goal of working towards fully implementing the Victorian Government's Healthy Choices Guidelines
Conduct regular reviews of what food and drink is currently offered and promoted, to feedback on progress towards healthy targets, identify support needed, and plan next steps
Provide itemised sales data, every 6 months, including product description (e.g. regular coke 600mL), price of item, and number of units sold each week during study period (2022 to 2025). This will allow regular feedback to outlets on healthiness of sales and revenue (as above), to assist in program planning.
To express your interest to participate in this project, please answer the questions below.
