Every year, The Reading Agency releases a themed Book Collection for the Summer Reading Challenge, providing inspiration for children aged 4-11. The 2026 Challenge,
Read to the Beat, will be a creative celebration of music, sound, and storytelling!We need your expertise to shape the book list! Can you help us read and review some exciting submissions from publishers? These are often brand new titles, so it's a great opportunity to enjoy the latest children's books.
Each reader will read and provide feedback on a
minimum of 6 books, but it is always amazingly helpful if you can commit to reading more - many of our readers read up to 15 books.Digital PDFs of books (a mix of picture books, early readers, and middle grade) will be emailed to readers in November. You will then have around a month to read your titles and submit your feedback through an online form.
Panel members must keep all information on the titles they receive
confidential until the final book collection is released by The Reading Agency in the new year.
