Young Reader Application:

Reading Buddies is an opportunity for student volunteers to partner with children and share their love of reading. This partnership can help young readers enrich their language, literacy and social skills, and also discover the joy of reading.

Young Reader participant requirements:

  • A once-a-week commitment is required for a total of 8 weeks
  • We request 48 hours advance notice should a participant not be able to attend their weekly session
  • Program starts week of October 18th
  • Must be between the ages of 6-9 (contact library if there are any questions about participant age)
  • Meet-ups will be once a week for a 30-minute session
  • Please be sure to fill out your availability below

Library staff will coordinate days/times based on demand and availability of participant readers and volunteers.
