Thank you for completing the OPT update.  Remember, OPT participants are required to update their personal and employment information with our office while on OPT for reporting in SEVIS. If your personal or employment information changes, you are required to update your information on our website within 10 days.  A new I-20 will be issued for employment changes only. You have 90 days of unemployment allowed for the first 12 months of OPT; and 120 total with the STEM OPT. Failure to update your employment information within 10 days can result in unintentional and irreversible unemployment counted against your OPT record.
